Yeah, it's a weird design that I can't imagine was easy to manufacture.

Unpainted 1/35 scale model of a Pak 38 anti-tank gun and crew
Procrastinating on working on the Camel rigging, decided to throw together this Tamiya Pak 38. #histscalemodels
Interior photo of the Dragon crew capsule. Toilet is inset in the wall to the upper right, indicated by a poop icon.
Details about Dragon's are sparse, but it's visible in the upper right of this image. Not exactly private, but I guess there's at least a curtain.

Struts attached, the Camel's finally looking like a plane. Now on to rigging her up.

Thanks! It's a mix of Vallejo light brown and white, not sure on the ratio because I tend to mix until it feels right, but it's probably in the realm of 3 parts white to 1 part brown.
Started the oil weathering on the Camel, really brings out the detail Eduard put into this kit.
#HistScaleModels
Looks good to me! The big advantage of oils is the flexibility, you can let them dry a bit and decide if you want the effect to be more pronounced/subtle, or even strip the entire thing and redo it.
Thanks! Nothing secret about it, it's an oil paint technique that you can find a bunch of tutorials for such as this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6R8...
Yeah, it's not a terrible look, it's just not really what I'm going for with this build.
Tried peeling the Eduard decal film for the first time, started off okay but got a lot of torn bits along the rib taping. Shouldn't be difficult to touch up those spots though, and I think the final look is worth it. Also printed out my own decal for the tail fin. #HistScaleModels
Eduard 1:48 scale Sopwith Camel fuselage
Finally finished up painting on the Camel. Now on to dealing with Eduard decals.
#HistScaleModels
Thanks! I'm happy with how it turned out
Eduard 1:48 scale Sopwith Camel fuselage and propeller with painted wood grain
Wood grain on, I always find it a fun effect to paint.

Eduard 1:48 scale model Sopwith Camel, painted with green and bare linen colors.
Got some paint down on the Camel. Used the bare linen mix on the wood areas as well, to serve as a base for wood grain effects.

I made one from an electric fly swatter years ago, the handle looks extremely similar to the link you posted so I'm guessing it's basically the same thing. Works well for me.
Cool, recently picked up this CSM kit. Might be a struggle for me to finish it in time, we'll see though.
Clerget engine for the Eduard Camel, before and after painting. Replaced the pushrods with wire, plastic ones hid most of the cylinder from view.

They're trying to say it's a false flag, that he's actually a leftie trying to make them look bad
Weird little issue, the PE part Eduard included for this step is completely the wrong shape. Especially strange is that the image of the PE sheet in the instructions has it correct.

Sopwith Camel scale model top wing with bent wire bracing
Replicated a couple modifications William Barker made to his Camel. 3D printed a jig to draw out where the cowling slots needed to be cut away. Luckily Eduard did provide a top wing with the wider opening, just had to add styrene and bend a wire to shape.

Eduard 1/48 scale Sopwith Camel model cockpit interior parts
Eduard Camel internals all painted and rigged, ready to put it all together and close up the fuselage.
#histscalemodels
Thanks! It's in 1/48 scale.
Resin 3D printed intake, Vickers cooling jacket, and wicker pilot's seat for an Eduard 1/48 scale Sopwith Camel.
Did some 3D modeling & printing for the Camel. I'm doing Barker's plane, which had funnel intakes that Eduard expects you to scratch-build. The kit seat and Vickers cooling jacket look alright, but printing gives a lot more detail.
#histscalemodels
Yeah, it's a very nice looking kit so far, well detailed and nothing seems overly fiddly.
Box for an Eduard 1/48 scale Sopwith Camel.
Internal parts for Sopwith Camel model
Started on my first kit of the year, Eduard's Sopwith Camel. All the various internal bits are ready for paint. Added some wire for fuel piping, plus a seat cushion I 3D printed for a previous attempt at this kit.

Calling the Spitfire done. A nice, straightforward build. #HistScaleModels
A lot of these image gens have public databases of everything they create, including the prompt used.

Decals and matte varnish down, so I can pull the masking off. And now, on to the weathering. #histscalemodels
Re-masking is probably the better option, so that you maintain the hard edge of the camo pattern. Easier said than done though, it's not easy to match the previous edges perfectly.

Base paint down on the Spit. Decided on a light blue underside to represent a squadron-applied paintjob before Sky was standardized. #histscalemodels
