Not a bad kit, a lot of flash and ejection pin marks in obvious places. And lots of sub-assemblies to build and paint.

Scammell Pioneer SV2S Recovery vehicle. A big, old pick up truck with a crane on the back in a blue RAF colour and insignia.

I need some help in finding out some more information on the following Scammell Pioneer. It's for a potential future project but I can only find two photos of it. Anybody seen it about or know where it is based. Cheers.👍👍

View of the 1/72 Vanguard from above and to the (camera's) left. The plane is mildly worn and stencils for fueling and rearming can be seen on the wings. The cat, grey-and-white with yellow eyes, is trying to get on the plane from the other side.
The same plane from the other side, now seen in full. The cat is still there.
Very similar to the last photo, but here you can better see that the plane's profile is somewhat between the Japanese Nakajima Ki-43 and Ki-44 fighters, which led to friendly fire shootdowns.
My first model of the year, Dora Wings' 1/72 Vultee Vanguard. A not-very-successful fighter that saw some action with the Chinese Nationalist Air Force. This one was based in An-Su in October 1943.

I think I’ve finished the oil paints for the faces and hands, then I look at the photos and hmm. Need more practice. I could get those AK Calvin Tan acrylics but I’ve got a pack of oils. And I do like using oils. What’s everyone else’s thoughts on panting flesh: oil or acrylic? #histscalemodels

This pic shows the Eduard decals after I've removed the clear film.
Since I was replacing them I used reg masking tape too pull it up.
Pulled clear film off but color was still there, like slightly worn paint, very tough!
Perfect for a used A6M, not fresh ones.

The Eduard Blue was a NO so its Aeromaster to the rescue!
I have a Tora set from 1995 worked perfectly!
Hinomarus also were to light.
Ok for a worn bird but these Tora A6M2s were all fresh.
The Ed decals went on PERFECTLY! Very Tough!

Working on the base at the moment trying to give it a bit more interest than just the KV-2.
I'm thinking I'll go for a wheat field look on either side so just need to figure out a cost effective way of doing that. Gamer grass is just standing it at the moment.

Three projects this weekend to unwind between busy weeks in office - Constitution, P-51B & 88mm. P-51B will get decaled today & tomorrow. 88 will get done today but figures & base will take a while. C just got lower masts - next is kit-bashed head detail & scratchbuilt transom. #HistScaleModels

Let mission models paint dry a day.
Slower than Tamiya & not as tough so I let it harden then AK Gauzy clear. Good so far.
BUT, decals not very Blue Mr Eduard!😡
I really wanted the Hiryu Blue but what do ya'all think?🤔

Slowly working out the seam imperfections on the F-4E to F Phantom II project. Needed non-slotted tail for the F so scavenged one from Academy kit (Not the best but it’ll do.) Upgraded to a slot fit although that took a couple of attempts to get them even.) #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels

Assembly mainly done. Slowly working out the seam imperfections on the T-38C Talon project this week. Moving along now to check the fit and condition of the glass, which appears good at this point (Very fine centre seam that you could almost ignore). #ModelAircraft #HistScaleModels
