Well, this has taken a loooong time, but I've finally got the oar benches done, along with the cat-walk and a test fitting of the masts. Sample rowers included for proof of concept! Now onto making the fighting decks and their supports for over the rowers. #histscalemodels #trireme #ancientgreece

Progress! 'Beak' planked, custom ram added, scratch-built quarter decks done, and very customised rowing outriggers created, with scratch-built cat heads. Much more accurate 'tail' created. Not a kit part unaltered so far. Now to add the rowing benches. Phew! #histscalemodels #trireme

Progress! More surgery - the curved bows have been removed and replaced with something more accurate. The bottom of the hull is on, and a reinforced 'beak' has been added ready for the ram. Again, far more accurate than the kit's wimpy affair. #histscalemodels #trireme
