Some more done with the 1/16 Sherman. Hatches fitted, there is an issue with the small hatch, to open it fully which is what I want I'll have to do some cutting out. Poor really as its a open and close feature #histscalemodels #scalemodels

WIP - after some fairly extensive surgery on his wrists and the sword, the Indian Cavalry Officer is now armed and has all his limbs. Need to build wrists up with putty and then finish tidying up the paint on straps, gauntlets etc, but the end is finally in sight! #histscalemodels #scalemodels

The upper and lower sections of the turret were a very poor fit, had plenty of glue and clamps on all day. The turret has casting detail, due to sanding down It lost some detail. I have used some Vellejo plastic putty and tippled the casting pattern back in. #histscalemodels #scalemodels

#histscalemodels #scalemodels Finished weathering the 1917 Model T ambulance. Muddy tires and fenders created using Vallejo's "Thick Mud" and Tamiya "Clear" to give a wet effect. Also, a touch of AK's "Fresh Mud" (which is really a wash) applied using the toothbrush splittering technique.

Decalling done on the Welsh 737-500. A few sloppy bits here and there, but overall I'm pretty happy with it, and chuffed to have had so few issues with these 30-year-old decals. It's a just a shame there is no engine stencilling, as they look a bit plain. Oh well.

The blue color was a challenge. I ended up using Vallejo's Model Air IDF Blue with a drop of flat black.

First decals on the Welsh 737-500. Any fears I had about them evaporated after I tested one on a paint mule. Even after 30 years, they performed perfectly. I'd even go as far as to say that they're among the best decals I've used in recent times!
