Learn backend development the smart way | Boot.dev Welcome to the most captivating, finger-flying, addictive way to learn to code. The smartest way to learn a thing is to ensure you're never bored.

I have taken a break from the #GDQuest modules. I've caught up with most of the 2D path so I've decided to up my coding skills by starting on boot.dev (www.boot.dev/u/fezbot)

So far I've already learned a lot!

I've started #GDQuest module 11!

I'm coming to a point where I don't necesarily have new things to share with how I am progressing.
Therefor I will not continue with daily updates from here on out.
I will update after finishing a module, or personal projects!

That's why I created this project.

It's not much and not very interesting unless you want to practice Greek grammar.
But I'm still proud!

Check out the scripts on my github: github.com/TheRealFe...

I am currently living in Greece and studying Greek here.
That's why I wanted to create a game/app where my classmates and me could practice the grammar we had to perform.

Popular websites like quizlet or whatever don't really give you a good option without having to pay.

This weekend I was busy with creating my very first project, just me!

It was very fun to finally do something all alone. No hints, No tips. Just figuring it out by myself.

Check the comments for more info about the project, the result and the code.

Today I finished #GDQuest module 10!

There is an extended version but I think want to try and make my first own app before I continue.
So that is what I'm going to try and do this weekend!

Stay tuned for updates on my first project by myself!

Day 15 of the #GDQuest modules!

Today I added the teleporter to end the game and added an end screen.

I had lots of fun discovering how to do everything on my own without help and it was very rewarding when the end result worked out like it should!

Check it out in the video!

The code for the raycast collision check and avoidance

I didn't have a lot of time today but I managed to finish the 9th #GDQuest module. I learned about raycasts and how to use them on the enemy AI to avoid some obstacles.

I won't have much time until Monday so updates will be sparse. But I hope to see you then!

Couldn't do much during the weekend unfortunately..
But I'm back for day 7!

Module 8 of the #GDQuest course was a doozy.
I don't necessarily have much to show in game but I learned about classes, resources and how to edit this in the Inspector.

Check it out!

This weekend I have a good friend staying at my place who is visiting, so unfortunately I won't have a lot of time to practice coding. I'll try and get some time in over the weekend but alas, no update for today :(

Today I finished the coding challenges without step-by-step guidance. Module 7 in the #GDQuest course is also a more "Try first" approach which is doing wonders!

Today i got myself through module 6 of #GDQuest !
In the video you can see all the new things I learned!

The final part of the module requires me to do things by myself without step by step help..

Sounds like a good exercise for tomorrow ;)
