Recently got my Query letter and novel opening eviscerated in a critique. It stung like Hell, but my God did it make me see the light.

In 'The Mark of Fear' the "transformation" is taken quite literally. My main character, Trent, must give up the last of his sanctity for a chance at answers to his violent past. But there's no guarantee he'll get any closure as he shifts into something terrifying.
