I'm so grateful that everyone was so understanding and patient. Nick, from the @uni-of-warwick.bsky.social AV Support, rushed to our rescue. And with the IT headache resolved, Pauline's keynote kicked off two days of exciting research, inspiring stories, and insightful conversations 💡(4/4)
Although the rest of the conference was in person, we decided to make the keynote hybrid to make it more accessible. Even though we tested absolutely everything the previous evening, we had some frustrating technical difficulties that delayed the start. (3/4)
Her keynote sensitively navigated this extremely difficult subject, sparking necessary and timely conversations. Personally, I found it so inspiring for my own thesis. Thank you to our brilliant keynote speaker, Pauline, who has been incredibly supportive from the very first email. (2/4)
I (@woolzz.bsky.social) was honoured to chair "Translating Rape", the fantastic keynote speech at #IPCITI2025. Dr Pauline Henry-Tierney (@drpaulinehenry.bsky.social) proposed a feminist methodology of translation that responds ethically to the complexities of translating traumatic texts. (1/4)

We're especially excited to welcome Pauline, as she co-organised this very conference back in 2014 @manchester.ac.uk, and it’s a joy to have her return now as a keynote speaker. It's a reminder of how postgraduate spaces like #IPCITI can help shape our paths in unexpected ways. (3/5)
