#assisteddying bill being discussed again. Always fascinates me that #autonomy is a key bioethical principle in healthcare UNLESS it's about dying, when everyone else knows best.
Coming to the end of day one of the ARNS conference @arns-uk.bsky.social and it's been amazing. Person centred care is at the forefront of every session. This is where the art of nursing beautifully complements the science of healthcare.

@dignityindying.org.uk If the bill isn't passed, it won't stop people taking their own lives. It'll just be a messier business, emotionally and physically. It remains the only area in healthcare where autonomy is denied. That infuriates me.
