Wow that’s come down a lot since I last looked at it. It used to be 12-15 years to get payback.

Can I ask how much the capital outlay is, and when you think break even will be? (Genuine enquiry, not a pointy comment)

Because you are a non native speaker no one will think you are making a political point. You’re ok whatever you choose.
Good point. “they is rank, innit” would be south London
For a native English (UK) speaker “they are” sounds natural. If you chose to say “they is …” it sounds like you disapprove of “they” being used as a singular pronoun and that you are making a political point eg. “ ’They’ is quite firm about the use of ‘their’ pronouns.“
But both technically correct
“It is easier for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven than it is for a camel to”
Polite form would be “Could I possibly get a …. Thank you. That’s great.“ and the next person to order would then say “and I’ll have the ….“.

Why would typing "steam" bring up "stream deck" when there is an app called "steam" on my PC?
I’d be interested in a view from historians. How often over the last 2000 have armies tried to overtake Britain. What were they trying to achieve. Or in other words: where is the threat to Britain that Robertson wants to defend us against?
I wonder if “hope” is what has been lost in the noise of the numbers. Since 2008 so many people have looked for light at the end of the tunnel.
In Finland the bank reports directly to the tax authority who pre-fills the annual form for you. This is what real digital tax looks like.
Small traders are one thing. Accidental landlords (of which there are thousands) are another. People renting one property. Once the threshold drops below £20k in three years’ time people will quit the rental market or risk the fine for non compliance.
“Grammar police” rather than “pedant”, because it has a narrower use case than “pedant”. “Pedanti” is pedant.
And yes. This message makes me a pilkunnussija.
Oh, yeah, that was the Obama Iran deal.
Those US-Iran negotiations in a nutshell:
Iran sent 4 PhDs to Islamabad.
The US sent a real estate developer, a son-in-law, a lawyer and a general.
Revolution, in fact. In Farsi they are Sepah-e Pasdaran-e Enghelab-e Eslami
the Corps-of Guardians-for the Revolution-of Islam.
Their job is to guard the (success of) the 1979 Revolution.
The confusion often comes from the fact that in Iraq there was a Republican Guard around Saddam Hossein.

Don't be in too much of a hurry to be published. Give yourself time to adjust and grow. In publishing, you have as long as you like to write your first book, but a year to write your second...
I would like Iran to switch its internet on again and the US to switch its internet off for a bit. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
This is one occasion where I think the headline should quote accurately what was said.
In fact if you search for that word on Bluesky it comes up most often in reference to two men, and the other is Trump.
The sound of the launch arrives about 15 seconds after the image. The right place is clearly “…at a safe distance!”
This heartbreaking footage of Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk preparing for tournaments amid air raid sirens and missile attacks is a stark reminder that russians shouldn't be allowed to participate in international sporting events until they stop their genocidal war and are brought to justice

"Thirteen years later, #Jolla is back with new hardware, 10,000 pre-orders, and a renewed argument that Europe deserves its own smartphone ecosystem."
He mentioned all of these.
His point is that these were cripplingly long wars. But that at 34 days, this one is not in the same bracket as those so everyone should calm down.
He failed to note, of course, that after 34 days of those other wars leaders would have said the same thing.
If you’re going to run with this you have to point out that NATO is literally not allowed under its constitution to be involved in this aggressive act. As a defensive European construct NATO is as relevant to the Iran conflict as Argentina.
