You've never seen human anatomy like this before.
Using a particle accelerator, the Human Organ Atlas is producing 3D scans of our organs in unprecedented detail! You can look through different layers of tissue and even zoom in on the cells for the heart, lungs, eyes, kidneys, and more.

Obsessed with these little infographics(?) my 9 year old made about spelling frequency for different sounds in American English 🥹🥹 The linguist mama pride is off the charts!
This is Missy. She escaped from her backyard and ran straight to daycare, where she had a spa day and got to play with her boyfriend. Lessons were learned, but not the ones her parents probably hoped. 13/10 (TT: spotsplaceyqr)
My photo shows a profile view of a small horse figurine with head to the left, displayed against a dark background. Sculpted from mammoth ivory, the surface is a mottled greyish-earthy-brown colour with a shiny patina. It was once likely pale white in colour. It measures 2.5 cm height, 4.8 cm width, and 0.7 cm depth. The head is gracefully lowered with a long and elegant curving neck, and a convex curved back. The four legs are incomplete. The top of the tail remains. The eyes, nostrils, and mouth are carved as indents. The ‘Vogelherd Horse’ was excavated in 1931, together with a number of other ivory animal figurines from the Vogelherd Cave, Swabian Jura, Germany. It is the oldest known sculpture of a horse. On display at the Museum of Ancient Cultures, at Hohentübingen Castle, Tübingen, Germany.
Something ancient and wonderful for the weekend!
A tiny horse figurine carved from mammoth ivory about 40,000 years ago!
Imagine the #IceAge artist at work, sitting by the warmth of a fire, creating what is the world’s oldest known figure of a horse!

The end of Viktor Orbán’s autocratic regime is a victory not just for Hungary, but for people who value democracy around the world. Congratulations to Tisza, to incoming leader Péter Magyar, and to Hungarians everywhere.
Cue the Record is a Brooklyn-based group that hosts listening sessions at least twice a month in Prospect Heights for an influential vinyl record on an audiophile’s sound system. Like a book club, attendees discuss an album after listening to it in full.
Lots of buttons in a pile.
How do dictionaries define colors? And why are some color definitions so confusing, like “stronger than carmine” and “bluer than fiesta”? Cross the liminal space and find that and lots more in a brand-new episode: https://waywordradio.org/buttons-on-ice-cream/

Has an inexplicable appetite for vanilla ice cream.
a chocolate lab puppy does his best impression of sitting in a grassy lawn. his butt is down, but his hind legs are extended fully out in front. one of his front paws is standing on his tail. his chubby pink puppy tummy paunches out in a few wrinkles. his eyebrows are raised in concern over his grayish eyes. in the background, an elder statesman yellow lab looks on with mild disapproval.
This is Breuer. He's here to let you know it's National Puppy Day. Doesn't know what that means but hopes it involves snacks. 12/10 (IG: chasenbreulabradors)

Happy Lunar New Year everyone! This is probably the clearest handheld photo of the moon I’ve ever taken (Sony A6000/55-200mm). It’s amazing to know that every human being who has ever lifted their eyes toward the night sky will have seen the same view of the moon that you and I do. #moon #luna
