I've spent a lot of time doing commission work (which I'm eternally grateful for) but I began to think that I'm getting burnt out of miniature painting. Turns out I just missed really focusing on really doing high detail on individual models. Shit still slaps.

The Like a Dragon games have always had tenuous-at-best writing, but I do have to say that the soundtrack to every one of their games has some amazing tracks.

GW really nails their killteam designs. These have been a joy to paint.

In the span of a week and a half, I found out I need to take a certification before it cycles out, took an online course while maintaining a fulltime job, took a battery of practice tests, and passed it.

I'm choosing to feel like hot shit about this.

Imagine talking like that guy and honestly believing that people will take you seriously.

GW was super kind and gave me an Inquisitor Ostromandeus model even though I haven't been subscribed to Warhammer+ since the end of year 1. So I painted him up and I'm probably going to put him up on eBay.

I'm not sure how serious I am about actually selling these. But it's really tempting. That's how good the bits are.

Anyone want to buy my Captain Lysander and Terminator Ancient w/storm shield and thunder hammer? I just bought custom Imperial Fist bits for the legs and I have a BURNING DESIRE to buy them again, kit them out with the custom bits, and repaint them.

I meant to take longer, but he was just so much fun to paint. The new Terminator Ancient a Phalanx Warder shield and a 3D printed thunder hammer so he'll fit in with Lysander and the eventual Assault Terminator squad they'll lead.

While it is fun, I think it's a great microcosm of how intellectually bereft RGG seems to be becoming right now. Hopefully Stranger Than Heaven or the 9th sequel does SOMETHING to cut some more ties from the Kiryu saga.

I'm playing through the game right now. Up until now I'd only seen AlphaBetaGamer play through the whole 1.0. This game is incredible.

It's the not-quite-there glazing between the shadows and highlights, most likely 😅

I'm learning very much about glazing and wet blending on this guy.
