I know I've posted this before but I fucking love this poster.

Need to get a print framed and put up on the wall.

Mediation fails in dispute over Franco-German fighter jet, Handelsblatt says Mediators have failed to resolve a dispute between the companies involved in the Franco-German FCAS fighter jet project, though political leaders still have scope to ‌intervene, Handelsblatt reported...

"A person familiar with the matter told Reuters that the German mediator would conclude that building a joint fighter jet, once a key pillar of the project, was no longer feasible."

USA's drøm om en ny militærbase kan blive en livline for døende grønlandsk bygd USA har kig på tre steder til nye militærbaser i Grønland, blandt andet Narsarsuaq, der tidligere har huset en stor militærbase.

1️⃣
In southern Greenland 🇬🇱 lies Narsarsuaq - a community built around its airport.

That airport is now facing closure.
Tomorrow, it shuts down - effectively delivering a death sentence to the town.

something that wrinkles my brain every time I remember it is the fact that total eclipses are only possible on earth because the moon and sun appear to be the same size in our sky, due to the insanely, astronomically unlikely fluke that the moon is 400x smaller than the sun but 400x closer to us.

A drone that brought food to Ukrainian Defenders on positions, brought back passengers - a cat and dog.

They flew 12 kilometers during their evacuation. The Defenders of 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade are taking care of them.

Looks like Ukraine has received Finnish RBS-15 mk2 (MTO 85) fire units.
The truck looks a lot more like the Finnish Sisu platform than the modern Scania trucks Sweden uses. The other ground based user is Croatia on Tatra trucks.

SO UNUSUAL footage from Ukraine!

I have not seen a tank on the battlefield since Fall 2025. Moreover, a UKRAINIAN TANK, assaulting russian position in the field. It's insane.

I think the unmanned aspect clears the way for Ukrainian mechanized actions right now. Good stuff.

ISO 51,200 is not a territory I would ever go into on account of the noise (which one can see if viewing the image at 1:1), and using f/4 rather than the lens's max of f/2.8 is an interesting choice (I wouldn't expect much difference in sharpness or DoF at such distance, and would allow lower ISO).

For the fellow photography nerds who want to know what the camera settings were to take this rather demanding shot: (thank you NASA for not scrubbing it! and caveats that this does not speak to any postprocessing or multiexposure combinations)
