A reminder to register for QDF’s Grad Showcase by April 23rd. The words “Grad Showcase” appear in big, glowing letters, with a silhouette of four graduates wearing gowns leaping in the air with their caps in hand. Underneath, the dates and location of the event read: “May 19, 20, 21. Segal Centre,” followed by text that reads, “Calling all graduating students in acting and design from recognized theatre institutions!” The QDF logo appears at the bottom.
An overview of how the showcase works for actors and designers. Text reads: “ACTORS: Prepare a two-minute monologue of your choosing, along with a two-minute secondary artistic piece. This can be a contrasting monologue, a song, a movement piece, clown work… It’s up to you! DESIGNERS: Present an 8-minute overview of a design project you’ve created during your training. Introduce yourself and guide the directors through your process, highlighting how your vision was developed and realized.” Underneath, additional text reads: “Following your audition or presentation, our panel of directors will ask you a few questions to get to know you better as an artist. Check out more details on our website!”
Only three days left to register for the Grad Showcase! This is an opportunity for graduating students in acting and design streams of recognized theatre institutions to showcase their craft to a panel of professional directors. Learn more and register at: quebecdrama.org/grad-showcase
