Tweet from Scott Jennings, saying "um, yes, that's really a problem," with a quoted image saying "The problem with left-leaning media is they're intrinsically more strict with their propaganda to only using verifiable sources so it's really hard to poke holes in their ideology and arguments in comparison to a lot of low quality right-wing content. That makes attacking their points with fact checkers not very effective unless the fact checkers use misinformation tactics as well. In essence, people on the right have to work harder and more creatively to push their agendas as statistics and studies frustratingly aren't usually on our side."

This is why they're attacking science and education: if you can only win with disinformation, data become a threat.

Musk Allies Discuss Deploying A.I. to Find Budget Savings A top official at the General Services Administration said artificial intelligence could be used to identify waste and redundancies in federal contracts.

1/ I suspect we are days away from hearing Elon is "using AI" to “streamline” benefits programs.

You should know why fully automating decisions about who gets critical assistance is a terrible idea that will have disastrous consequences.

The main beneficiaries of the Department of Education are disabled kids (IDEA) and working-class and poor Americans (Title I, Pell Grants, work assistance), so of course Trump wants to do away with it.

It feels worth emphasizing that these websites being taken down aren’t some federal worker’s hobby, or an agency’s side project.

They exist as matters of policy, some directly mandated in law, some through government contracts.

Taking them down is fundamentally illegitimate and autocratic.

Without public data, Trump can say whatever he wants, his administration is effectively removing the ability for the public to have any factual basis to the health and socioeconomic conditions of his great america. If you are a public data user, archive whatever you can. #resist #publicdata

So if I’m understanding today correctly, the world’s richest person Elon Musk, whom no one elected, is taking over federal payment systems and employee data while the federal employees who investigate and prosecute public corruption are being fired en masse.

Many students hesitate to come to office hours because they don't know what to say. I've started explicitly asking all students to attend at least once and providing sentence starters—it's made a big difference in increasing participation.
