Fun fact I briefly touched on, Mathias was originally a Simulacrum created to house the eye of Vrtra! The influence of the eye on his body after so many years is what brought life to him. His existence and soul are fragile and sustained due to the eye. It's why he has no memories of his life

Day 8- Heartfelt

It took until his return from the first but Mathias finally managed a heartfelt confession

Mathias would probably be one of the Turks. A higher ranking one like Tseng maybe

Well for the sake of his own safety the answer would be the first, but he honestly didn't hate his time there and if he was able to, he would go back. Ishgard is the place he enjoyed the least being an Au'Ra, and also a dragon but he didn't know that at the time, but he still goes there for Estinien
