Random #Debian Astro package of the week is iraf. IRAF is the "Image Reduction and Analysis Facility". The main IRAF distribution includes a good selection of programs for general image processing and graphics.

A new release 2.2.4 of PyRAF was just created and uploaded to PyPI and Debian.
Good news for #IRAF users on a Mac: IRAF can now be installed via #Homebrew! Installation has never been easier:

It depends on what you mean with "standard astronomical software". Most Open Source software is portable. IRAF is there, DS9 is, most Python packages (Astropy&Co) are, … ESO-MIDAS could work but may need complilation; same for SourceExtractor. TOPCAT should just work as well as other Java packages.
