I think that could work just fine, especially given the kinetics of NfL compared w some of the other biomarkers, some of which peak early enough that they may not help after 72h.
Finally some evidence to support a concept we’ve taught for years. Save the right IJ for when it’s absolutely necessary (eg, dialysis, ECMO). Kudos to the authors.

Really cool study led by David Murphy on "apnea interval" - the interruption in ventilation due to intubation attempt during CPR. TL;DR: Shorter apnea interval associated with favorable outcomes.

In this analysis of data from cases in the ARREST registry out of Amsterdam, only 5% (n=22) of cases remained in refractory VF after 3 shocks.
