Fair enough! Those types of games generally do better as well I think, as players know what they're getting. Procedural content (in my opinion) is brilliant but like anything else, it's a tool in a toolbox of game dev, not the basis for an entire game.

I like the premise of exploring space as a satellite, that's kinda neat. Are you going the procedural generation route for content, craft by hand, or a mix?

Good ol' cubic scaling. I'm not sure of the ball size I want to use yet as it kinda governs the dimensions of the table to an extent, but it needs to be small enough to get enough features on the board. Thanks for the info by the way!

Oh that's good to know, and I like the steering linkage approach. Have you had any trouble with wear & tear on the flippers? I know it's a problem with full-size tables.

I love that Grease can be set alight and used as a tremendously effective area denial. I'm not even sure that's in pen & paper D&D but if it isn't, it should be!

As someone who's intending to make a working mini pinball machine soon, this is so insanely cool. One thing I've been pondering over is how to solve the smaller scale flippers and solenoids, as full size table ones are too big/heavy/powerful. Did you make yours from scratch or buy the parts?

I'm playing a Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer, Lightning. Fire is usually more useful but I'm hoping Larian put more lightning spells in the game to balance it out!

Just started Baldur's Gate 3 to keep me going over Christmas. My god this game is good, and the polish is obvious. Definitely seems to be a worthy successor to BG2 so far!
