While my father was a teen too young to join, three uncles—Ewing Neelley, Brownie Harper, and Hyde Harper—served in World War II.
Does anyone have an ancestor who fought against the Nazis to preserve democracy and fight aggression in World War II? Please list them and share this post to show the world what Americans STILL stand for. Mine are in the comments below.
I hope we all have a happy and peaceful March! It is Women's History Month and Irish-American Heritage Month. Read my newsletter for information on some of my ancestors who helped to settle America: conta.cc/3D0vT8p
After today, we'll each eventually need to go back to spending. Here is a great website that shows whether companies are left- or right-leaning and the percentage of their party campaign contributions. Let's continue to support businesses that share our values: shophowyouvote.com

Vicki's Key by p.m.terrell
I'm so happy to usher in February! It's the month of love. The most loved characters in my books are Vicki and Dylan, the main characters in the Black Swamp Mysteries Series. They meet in Vicki's Key, a suspense set in North Carolina. pmterrell.com/wp/book-shelf/
Weather often inspires me, particularly when it prevents the characters from leaving a place they desperately want to. Such is the case with A Thin Slice of Heaven, where a snowstorm strands Charleigh in an isolated castle. And no Irish castle would be complete without the requisite ghosts.
Thank you @pdparker-author.bsky.social for hosting another fabulous author event last evening! And thanks to all the folks who came to the Osterneck Auditorium in downtown Lumberton for the interview with Glenna Mageau/Maggie Thom!

Mine, too. Nice to know Bluesky is catching them. Too many here treat this like a dating app.
I promise you, once you free yourself from the notion that other writers are your competition and start viewing them as your fellow weirdos who share similar special interests as you, your life in publishing will become so much easier.
Only my animal-loving friends will appreciate this! Years ago, I created a slogan to support spaying dogs, and I was finally talked into creating some merchandise with it.

Thank you, Peg! I hope you won’t have to wait too long for it.

I hope friends in southeastern North Carolina will join me this Thursday, January 16, at 6:30 pm for a very special interview with Canadian author Glenna Mageau, who also writes under the pen name Maggie Thom. There will be refreshments, social distancing availability, and lots of fun.
It's an old song. But I think it has a vibe for today's stress.
