18000 words into the new book.

Very few books would genuinely be a five star read. Like, hardly any.

Most productive day yet. It’s lovely when the words are just flying.

11 day run of putting down at least a thousand words on the book each day. The story and characters are taking shape.

I’m really chugging along writing this folk horror tinged murder mystery book. I’ve added a new chapter every day for the last week and a bit. I haven’t been this productive and consistent in years.🕺

For the book I’m working on, I’ve taken inspiration for the lead character from Sarah Jane Smith, one of the most popular Dr Who companions. To cover my tracks, I have called her Sarah Lane, a code that will be impossible to crack.

Looking forward to the new Catriona Ward novel, but the publisher currently has the ebook up for £12. Which is obviously mad. I can’t imagine ever forking out that amount for an ebook.

Actually, I could probs start writing this today… but I know I won’t manage to do anything this weekend, so Monday morning it is. 📝
