A yellow book cover for The Emptying by Mimi Thebo and Rachel Delahaye with figures and a tree symbol, mounted on a pale blue background with a blurb - After too many human errors, AI is taking care of things. But in the city and on the farms, people begin to sense that something is very wrong. Why won't anyone explain what's going on? Two teenagers searching for answers appear to be the only ones willing to face up to reality...What's left of it. This is a hope-filled dystopian novel about AI, human connection and collective responsibility for age 12+.

COVER REVEAL DAY! It’s that day when authors believe their story will become a physical thing readers can hold, rather than just inhabiting their imagination. 😆

#TerraElectrica is an action-packed middlegrade eco thriller. It follows a girl who finds herself responsible for the fate of the world after melting ice caps have exposed a deadly disease that craves electricity. Exciting, hopeful and beautiful.
(We love Ooshaka the polar bear)
#Calm is an unsettling dystopian YA story of a drugged nation and the few resistors who attempt to escape the effects of the doctored water supply. Page-turning, clever and deeply thoughtful. (We love Dickens the dog)
Two book covers - one blue with a person in a capsule for CALM and the other, a girl on a mountain with a polar bear and electricity coming from her fingertips.
Behold! We are thrilled to welcome two more titles into the fold. 🥳🥳🥳 We were lucky enough to pick up #Calm by

A 2026 diary with pen
Never mind that Blue Monday business! I'm thrilled to have signed with the wonderful @troikabooks.bsky.social for a collection of children's poetry, due later this year! Excited to share more, soon 🎉😊 #UkKidLit
Dynamic tonal colour combinations are used to grab the attention. A young person (teenage? young adult?) with long dark hair stands on top of a dark blue/purple mound (hill?), in the background white clouds and a jade green forest is set in front of lilac mountains and a raspberry red and jade green swirling sky. The figure has raspberry red lighting coming from their fingertips, directed downwards and to the sides. Next to the figure, on the left is a howling wolf and two birds fly above, all in dark blue/purple. Behind the figure looms a large white polar bear, who is howling into the sky, facing right, a yellow crescent moon hangs in a starry sky in the top left corner. The figure is looking down, they are wearing lilac ankle boots and have a lilac shoulder bag with tassels. They are wearing a raspberry red torn t-shirt and dark blue/purple torn shorts. The polar bear and wolf are not attacking the figure, they appear to be companions.
A translucent pill takes up most of the image, set against a mid-blue background, patterned to look like bubbles. The pill is half full of a dark blue liquid, a figure in red stands waist-deep inside the pill. The figures' arms are raised towards the top of the pill, with hands splayed out, like they are resting on the walls of the pill. The title, across the top of the image, above the pill, looks like it has been sprayed on with a stencil, parts of the white paint is badly applied and the letters are rough looking and smudged. Paint drips from the letter C as if too much paint was sprayed at the stencil. The style jars with the title of the book - calm, as it looks very distressed. In contrast, the authors name, across the bottom of the image, under the pill, is in a clear white font. White letters can be seen on the edge of the pill, they are a combination of 3 letters and 3 numbers.
The colour palette is very calming; a buttercup yellow sunset/sunrise is reflected onto a pond surrounded by golden rushes on blue ground. Snow covers the opposite bank, trees and two houses are in the distance; one house is a small cottage with stone walls, the other is a grand mansion with many rooms, and in it's own grounds. Swans fill the skies and the pond. A young figure is silhouetted at the pond, his back to the reader. He is wearing a blue, green and red stripped bobble hat, a red backpack, trousers and a winter coat with a hood and a scarf. He is holding a pair of binoculars in one hand but he isn't looking through it. The title in gold foil across the top of the image is textured like bark, the authors name is just below the title in white font.
WHOOP!
Not one, not two but three delightful #BookPost parcels have arrived. How amazing do these look 👀😍❤️

Now, which to read first? 🤔
I'm delighted that I've just signed a contract with @troikabooks.bsky.social, who will relaunch 'Calm' in January and take on its sequel. So pleased to have found a safe and friendly haven after the somewhat rocky road of the last few months!
So grateful that Jakub’s Otter is being received so well in Turkey. Güner Kılıç is an influential reviewer who has said lovely things, including the 2 translated snippets here. @troikabooks.bsky.social
Do you want to read a fast-paced, clever, surprising series with some of the best alt future world building you're likely to see? Read Electric Life and Electric Life Surge by @racheldelahaye.bsky.social. Come on @netflix.com - these books need to be filmed.
Today's review...'Electric Life: Surge' @racheldelahaye.bsky.social @troikabooks.bsky.social Every bit as good as 'Electric Life', this is a sequel not to be missed!

Go to our blog and read about Rachel's inspiration behind the sequel to Electric Life, #ElectricLifeSurge. As you would expect, it's a melting storypot of issues such as technology, politics and community. With an electric conclusion. 😃 @racheldelahaye.bsky.social

Lovely book post today. Jakub’s Otter was published on 31st October last year, so it’s wonderful to receive copies this October from a Turkish publisher! If you know of a Turkish child living in the UK, who might like a copy, let me know. First come, first served. @troikabooks.bsky.social
It's here and available to order! #ElectricLifeSurge is the sequel to the award-winning #ElectricLife by @racheldelahaye.bsky.social. What happens to Alara next? Does she feel at home in Under, or are the walls closing in? Sacrifices, dreams and fears, and, as always, a current of hope.
