4 shots of the same view of a cluster of tiny upside down gray mushrooms on the bottom of a log. They’re amorphous and the gills are mazelike. Pictures go from closup to panned out. Photo 3 has a pen tip for scale. The whole cluster is about an inch long.

This year has been good for witches hats and what seem to be scarlet waxcaps. Have yet to see a parrot mushroom around here. Too much green stuff growing…

Large stereum cluster. Also has concentric bands of color and is ripply.

Back side of stereum is smooth; stereum is a crust fungus with neithee gills or pores. I don’t have the science to explain how it spores.

Pretty sure that is leocarpus. Ironically, I found my best sample on the side of the road in Eugene on a piece of fir. And we’re having a terrible winter for slimes in NorCal. Getting lots of hygrocybes, tho!
