I make a very American one regularly: cooked ground beef, mix with a jar of beef gravy, frozen mixed veggies and seasonings, top with a thin layer of shredded cheese, then (prepared) instant mashed potatoes with a sprinkle of Parmesan and paprika on top. 400 degrees for a half hour. It's well loved!
