ASTROFEST: THE AFTERMATH. There is still work to be done, like dishwashing the 800 odd pairs of 3-D glasses used on Friday. This is a spatial photograph of Dishwasher Load #6. Not as interesting as watching far away galaxies in 3-D, I’m sure, but still part of what it takes to make the magic happen.

#OTD Wheatstone was also a pioneer of the telegraph, inventor of the Wheatstone concertina and more. NMS's Communicate gallery has several items on display, and there's more in store (search Wheatstone here www.nms.ac.uk/search-our-c...) #histSTM
150 years ago, Sir Charles Wheatstone died in a hotel room in Paris surrounded by his family & friends.
