I played the anniversary edition on Wii U... Can't say it was my sort of game, but I can appreciate how advanced it was for the time.

Yeah, it would be great if they brought it back.
Definitely, it's my favourite SNES game.
Brilliant idea!
This never lived up to the quality of the original for me. I found it very disappointing... π
What, haven't you played it? π
I like that it's a different style of platform game from the typical Mario platformers. Really charming graphics and sound - something different from the DKC-style prerendered graphics style everything else was doing at the time.
My favourite SNES game. π
Super Mario World 2: Yoshiβs Island is a platform game developed by Nintendo.
The sequel to Super Mario World brought some big changes and features a new hand-drawn art style, a bigger focus on exploration and the player now controls Yoshi instead of Mario.
Have you played it?

My buys from Nottingham Gaming Market today, not a bad haul.
Always going for the underdog systems... π
A Nintendo 3DS, showing the StreetPass green light.
A Nintendo 3DS. 3 StreetPass Mii Plaza notifications, and one for Mario Kart 7.
That green flashing light: StreetPass!
Don't get to see this very often anymore. Glad I wasn't the only one carrying a 3DS at today's gaming market in the hope of getting a few tags. π

A Panasonic RQ-X15 personal stereo cassette player, being held up by a left hand.
Panasonic's XBS bass-boost system was often ridiculously overpowered... I have a late '90s model and I'm sure it should come with a health warning! π
Super Mario 64 was all about the analogue stick for me, so this is a version I actively avoid in favour of the N64 original.
Yeah, that's exactly how I think of it: a mission. If there's something that I really want to do and I'm able to focus on it, then I can usually overcome any discomfort I might feel. π
Thanks. I have a real love/hate relationship with these gaming markets... π
Pushing my dislike of crowded spaces to one side for today's Nottingham Gaming Market.
Im always getting copyright issues ,itβs become a normal thing on my channel β¦..even more now with the chart show thingy β¦..so please bear (grrrr ) that in mind β¦.if it disappears then so bee (buzz ) it

That's a tough call... the gadget fan in me may have been swayed by the touchscreen and PDA functions and gone with the GameCom. π€
Coming from a GBA, I though the original DS screen was great at the time. π
But yeah, that original is really comfy to hold and has a great d-pad - the one on the Lite is terrible!
The DSi XL really is the best way overall - I find - to play DS games though.
A green Nintendo DSi XL, sat on a mottled green carpet, showing the titlescreen from New Super Mario Bros.
I was always a bit lukewarm on the DS its library, it's only since getting a DSi XL with its IPS panels that I've begun to find myself being drawn back to its games.
It's amazing how much the dim screens on the OG DS put me off the system, without me even realising.

Morning. π
Give it a try sometime, musical easter eggs for loads of Sega games are included, not just Tetris. π
gamefaqs.gamespot.com/saturn/37580...
So long as they have the easter egg where entering your name on the high scores list as "TET" plays a snippet of the Sega Tetris theme, they're all alright with me. π
YouTube seems intent on continually suggesting this sort of stuff to me even though I never show any interest in watching it.
And I've had to give up on Threads entirely because of all the "look what they've done to Cadbury's chocolate" nonsense since Easter...
Those early Thief games are great, my favourite stealth series. π
Got my ticket for the gaming market tomorrow. Fun to have a browse even if I don't end up buying anything.
It's really easy to skip the hardware check and install Windows 11 on anything than runs 10. It just feels natural to have to do some "tweaking" to get Windows right at this point. I think that last version I was happy with unmodified and out of the box was Windows 95... π
It's great! I bought it on the off-chance in CeX, hadn't heard of it before.
My #RandomGameSaturday submission: Mass Destruction for the Saturn.
Since becoming a Saturn owner this has been one of my favourite games for the system. A very arcadey and fun take on driving a tank and blowing everything up. Scratches that same itch as Blast Corps on N64.
