Resident issues aside: glad there is some acknowledgement of preceptor burnout and the indirect and unrecognized costs of residency programs. For example, covering for other preceptors, time for reviewing projects, etc. very under described

Agree. I teach that oncology is the easy part of residency. Communication, transparency, being forthcoming, and appreciating perspective is where you will feel success.
