I was raised by tv, thankfully we had pbs even without cable. I have to seek out that level of media manually through search words, on youtube and such. Books are good too. Wish I had read more as a kid. I do try to read with more intent now. Seeking out articles and other media manually.

Also went to a pizza spot I tried years ago. Gave it another shot for their lunch specials. Pizza slice and drink for $5. Add to list of "good" pizza taste and texture. Tried a burger special. Was too full to really eat it all. Not my favorite burger, but not the worst at all.

To be fair, this place is not a coffee shop but a bakery. Had a cherry danish which was okay at best. Ate something called basque which, without looking it up, looks like custard pie but resembled cheesecake, which I liked. It was a popular thing compared to other things on display. Overall 6/10.

Drank a coffee that was like diner coffee or McDonald's coffee (decent) for $5.50 (insulting).

I know, economy and bs all over the place, still disappointed.

Nothing says Y2K aesthetic like coloured translucent casing…
