6 Ways to Delete Yourself From the Internet You’ll never be able to get a clean slate—but you can significantly downsize your digital footprint.

Amazon, Facebook, and Google all have reams of data about you—including your likes and dislikes, health information and social connections—but they’re not the only ones. Countless murky data brokers that you’ve never heard of collect huge quantities of information about you and sell it on.

if I had a ton of money for #LongCovid research I’d spend at least some of it on post covid visual snow syndrome. 15% of ppl with vss believe they got it from covid (and around half from a tbi). it’s super under researched.

Also, holy shit, Bluesky sends real traffic. Will update this tomorrow with firm numbers but journalism is going to move here for sure. Twitter is a drop in the bucket. It's over, but we are so back, and so on and so forth

My autistic masks were a prison created by my abusers over my entire life.

They were the 'me' I would think of, they were a filter every impulse went through. They told me what I could and couldnt think about.

But they were not me.

The biggest barrier of those in the disability community is that which denies them the same quality of life the able-bodieds enjoy. For some reason there is an undercurrent of insistence those whose lives are lived differently should be expected to accept a lower standard of living.

Do their lives mean nothing? This really boils the blood. & many women still believe ‘dr knows best’

@nkinl.bsky.social there is a massive gap in how cancer and its treatments impact the lives of neuro divergent (autism, ADHD etc) patients. ND cancer patients often have pre existing, co-occurring medical conditions & higher sensitivity to the world. Is there any work towards cancer in ND folk?

@nkinl.bsky.social what about cancer patients who were already disabled/had other medical conditions that reduce exercise ability or prevent it? Exercise isn’t an available option for everyone. What’s the alt for those who can’t exercise even if they wanted to? They’re always left behind in advice
