Not a moment too soon, but still the English government is reluctant to apologise for their role. We do think it is looking more likely now though.
Just catching up with the @familyhistpod.bsky.social podcast, and I loved this one: S10EP05 - 'The Adventuress' with Kathy Wilshaw familyhistoriespodcast.com/2025/12/09/s...

I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I had great fun recording it with @familyhistpod.bsky.social
I’ve taken a different approach today - have emailed to ask what the current wait time is likely to be if I place an order now. I imagine I’ll get the same response, but you never know!
Yes, thousands! I’m more concerned because mine are for adoptees trying to find their birth families, so I am supporting people on an emotional journey and have no way of setting their expectations or expediting their orders.
I got the generic reply when I chased up my oldest order (placed on 10th November). They won’t give a timescale and they received thousands more orders than usual when the price increase was announced. All we can do is be patient apparently!
I’m going to chase them again next week - will let you know what they say.
Yes! I chased them before Christmas and they said they had been inundated by people trying to get in before the price increase and they were working as fast as they could. I hoped they might be sympathetic as mine are all adoption tracing, but I didn’t get anywhere! Just have to be patient I guess.
With Season Ten complete, don't worry if you're still a bit behind as here's the 'box set':

That’s a really good point Andrew. I haven’t found an illegitimacy but I also haven’t concentrated on it as a possibility. Brick walls really do benefit from a fresh pair of eyes - thank you!
A most enjoyable interview - thank you for inviting me Andrew!

I had the honour of being interviewed by Andrew for series 10 of The Family Histories Podcast. I had not recorded a podcast before but Andrew excels at this and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
Really looking forward to hearing the whole series!
