It was a great morning spent with Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, TCEP90290, along with local communities and agencies for the Topanga Evacuation Drill.

Blues Brothers without a doubt.
And of course, a couple of us! Something that really struck us was just how FEW people were wearing hearing protection. JFC people, c'mon!
#LongBeach #LBGP
But it's Long Beach, and the LBC is known for its artwork! She took these photos and they're some of my favorites from the day
I didn't bring a camera, figured I just wanted to enjoy sitting there and watching. Just took these couple of snaps for posterity's sake.
Fiancee went to the Acura Grand Prix yesterday with me, her first ever time at any type of race, and she took probably 100 photos.... and only 2 of the race.

We found a really good spot to hang out in with a good view at T1
A really big joy for us living in this area is when parrots come to visit.
There's a neighbor who has a great little cat that sits in the window during the day and the other day 3 parrots flew over and hung from the roof and on the nearby wire to say hi to it.
Honestly, better than any tv show!
in them as were the two accessible bathrooms we came across.
No... our experience and so many others we spoke with huddled around the cart sign was definitely that these games were NOT accessible. #LongBeach #LBGP #Indycar
that side of the track so you need to go up and down steep slippery stairs.
The paratransit drop off and pick up areas are filled with police cars, and the 300 Ocean Pickup/Drop off location is completely blocked off as well.
Most of the larger accessible porta-potties were locked w/no one...
My experience: you have to call a phone number for assistance... except its a race track and so no one can hear you and you can't hear them.
You go to ask any of the security supervisors and they tell you the police have put a masterlock on the gate blocking access to the only elevator on...
Park Circle became Park Oracle. Patterson Park became Pattereon Park. Alan Wright Park became something that cannot be pronounced by humans.
tried Photoshop's new upscaler for a map that's getting printed and... it renamed all our streets and parks
Gotta love the PBJ-1H
3 patients, including extrication. 2 ALS, 1 BLS.
Gotta be safer on these roads people!
Definitely another bad accident in #longbeach to start off the morning.
She's a rotisserie chicken. She faces all sides!
And if I get up for a split second, she takes over both sides of the bed and all of the pillows!
Looks like Cameron Hamilton will be back heading FEMA.
keep happening over, and over, and over again. There's some really good info in the book, some interesting stories, but at the same time, it's really a challenge.

It took a year before the solution to the communication problem was solved when two KC-130A tankers equipped with the ARC-89 radio relay system arrived in theater under the Combat Lightning program (see chapter 14). This variant of the four-jet Boeing aerial tanker automatically relayed radio messages either to American tactical aircraft or to the control centers that directed them. The Combat Lightning KC-130As arrived at U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield ninety miles south of Bangkok on September 20 and 22 and flew their first mission on October 5, 1966. Although air refueling was not the normal or main mission of these tankers, they could and often did provide service in emergencies.23 These first two aircraft provided only interim coverage. To provide twenty-four-hour coverage required five aircraft. Because of delays in converting additional KC-130s, SAC sent two EC-135L post attack command and control aircraft to U-Tapao in mid-May 1967. By then, the name of the Big Eye Task Force had been officially changed to College Eye. Starting at the end of May, the four Combat Lightning aircraft began twenty-fourhour coverage orbiting in the Gulf of Tonkin. Three additional KC-135As joined the Combat Lightning fleet in the first part of October. In addition to carrying regular radio relay gear, these aircraft were outfitted with secure voice communications equipment
So I've been mostly reading Wildenbergs book, but while very interesting, there are so many errors that it has become more of a guessing game of what's right/what's wrong/what's a typo/what is real???
An example is below where KC-130 is written multiple times instead of 135, and things like that...
Imagine that lockout call.
I mean, considering that one of them probably took up the entirety of the closet space, and the other just kept his few things on the floor near the bed... I can see the odd couple routine working out.

Our packing list is quite small since we're only going to be there for a bit and then wander off to the aquarium to see Meatloaf. No need for seat cushions, or much. Just a small backpack is all.
We're going to the Long Beach Grand Prix for a couple of hours tomorrow just to watch the indy car practice and walk around. It's a bit of a test run to see how the fiancee does with the noise, crowds and atmosphere. She's never been to a race before, so this being free is a good opportunity....
Comic. [Person and person with white hat facing two boxes stacked with $80 price tag and sale tag on each box.] PERSON 1: They want $80 for this? I could make one myself for $10 in parts, an hour of work, a trip to the hardware store, another $30 in parts, another few hours of work, two more trips to the store for $20 more in parts, another hour of work to redo the first hour of work because I messed up, and $80 to buy this when the one I made breaks.

This was a pretty large response with an unfortunately tragic ending #huntingtonbeach
I'll take "site that doesn't load" over "site that hosts Nazis" any day of the week.

The goal was to add a strap to the seat cane for easy carrying and storage.
So I took apart my cane... looked at it... put it back together w/o the strap, looked at it. Looked at the strap beside it... took it apart again... forgot about the strap & put it back together and walked away for an hour!
