I got to do a nice rigging talk for the Autodesk users event in Austin.
This is going to be so good
🔥📣Just finished:
- Full integration of #RBFNodes into SHAPES for #Blender3d
- RBFNodes working with constraints.
- Mirroring of a complete RBFNodes setup with all shape keys.
- RBFNodes working with only two poses.
Thanks for sharing!

A quick tip regarding horse leg posing. #animation
Rigs that have a functioning propatagium membrane make me … 😃

King Krush is here! I've been working for Superseed Studios, in collaboration with the team at Blizzard, to build the rig for Hearthstone's first pet. He was a fun and unique challenge, balancing rig flexibility and expression controls with low joint and polygon counts
I rigged and skinned all four variations provided by the modelers at Blizzard, with animation being handled by the team at Superseed. The King Krush pet is now available through the Lost City of Un'Goro expansion for Hearthstone!

Proper joint placement and orientation is essential to good rigging. My joint guide system uses poly planes to help streamline this process, a relatively simple feature. These pieces of geometry are attached to each joint, stretch with their length and can be scaled up independently #rigtip
The planes act as visual indicators for the joint's position and orientation within a model's volume, making them easy to line up with landmarks and topology. This in combination with the structure of my guide modules ensures they will always be properly aligned
Using planes to help place joints was a technique I first saw in a Rigging Dojo video over a decade ago. I used a similar process for many years, and it inspired this addition to my joint guide system. I recommend trying a process like this if you haven't already! www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqiF...

Ozone rig on the show floor, now that I am home I can work on it for real. Unreal Fest Orlando , Maya 2024 and Unreal 5.6
I’m actually curious how that goes and what the performance improvement is for your rig
Maybe 🤔
Thanks to @polygoniq.bsky.social for having me as a guest speaker at BKON 2025! the Czech-Slovak Blender Conference. Looking forward to seeing people in person come September www.anomalia.eu/course/chara... at Anomalia #rigtip #animtip #b3d #maya3d #Unreal
