Data governance: “Can we trust the record?” #AI governance: “Can we trust the decision built on that record?” Without clear provenance of where data came from, how it was processed, & who it represents, we can’t judge bias or safety in AI.
In healthcare, that should be a hard stop.

Photo of Peer Bork, (4 May 1963 – 16 January 2026), a German bioinformatician and Interim Director General of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL).
So sad to learn out the passing of Peer Bork. I collaborated with his group at EMBL in the mid 2000’s. He leaves a lasting imprint on the fields of bioinformatics, metagenomics, and computational biology, and an enduring spirit of open, curiosity-driven exploration.

An incredibly emotional day for all of us at OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Phil & Penny Knight gave a transformative $2 billion gift to ensure that Oregonians facing a cancer diagnosis receive the best care & the best possible outcome.
The fight against cancer is and will always be personal. 🎗️
