Turned into 27. Still got Before Trilogy to go for an upcoming week off. Some I ended up buying/importing and a couple lucky enough to see at some well timed retro screenings

High possibility Jane Remover/Venturing combination might feature up to 3 times in my albums of the year with this latest release

Planned to visit cinemas today (Bugonia, Predator, Running Man) but it must have changed since October that JB Mobile no longer gets access to Telstra tickets. Guess it’s Reading/New Farm only now. Upside is I finally watched Black Bag and it was excellent. So many great performances & cool score

The genre of mainstream writing about games that is "go to a space I've never visited or understood to find out what's *really* going on" only ever ends up with a story that is "I found lots of bad stuff!!! can you believe this?" at a surface-level, lacking context, insight or any solutions.

Finally watched Corpus Christi. Easily one of my faves from this years Watchlist (7 to go from 27). Grew up in a Catholic school, went to church weekly but no longer consider myself religious so I loved how it spoke about faith, actual influence, passive practice etc. Bielenia as Daniel was so good!

So I have been working through my list & finally watched Housebound. Loved it. So quirky and darkly funny but without losing its edge.

Arts criticism & journalism being reduced to marketing is incredibly depressing, and I am thankful for the approximately six people/outlets in the BG space who actually do criticism and/or journalism. I don't condemn the rest but I do feel sorry for them.

The jumping combined with power sliding is insane! Some of the ghost times are untouchable. I just want to see my consistency (or lack of 😂)

It’s wild that Mario Kart World Time Trial mode doesn’t give you a best lap time or break down all of your lap times and only shows one completed time. Even the leaderboards aren’t numbered. Shows you the top 10 overall & top 10 in front of you. One of my favourite MK8 modes ruined

The amount of “Xbox Play Anywhere, World Premiere, Play it Day One with Game Pass & Xbox Games Studios Presents” transition screens in that showcase were tedious, messy & destroyed any flow. Pretty meh showing. Is Perfect Dark still a thing?
