Panel 1: Knuckles ruminated on Trip and her duty as the island guardian. Panel 2: Knuckles is struck with an idea. Panel 3: Knuckles excitedly resolves to train Trip to be a better guardian. Panel 4: Knuckles leap from the shrine. The Master Emerald glows behind him. Panel 5: Knuckles glides down from Angel Island, in the sky, to Northstar Island in the sea.
Panel 1 - Trip leads a group of Small and Giant Animals to play. Panel 2 - Trip and the Animals are startled when Knuckles violently lands in front of them. Panel 3 - Knuckles, oblivious to the commotion he caused, greets Trip, Trip hides under her helmet. Panel 4 - Trip comes out fro under her helmet as she begins to recognize Knuckles. Panel 5 - Trip recognizes Knuckles and relaxes. Knuckles is confident.
