The way profit maxxing corpo culture has invaded every form of art through algorithms pushing people into daily posting is really weighing on me lately. Efficiency and regularity of making "content" being prized above all else feels so grim, man.

Making videos is so time consuming, and the art itself is already time consuming! it's hard to find a balance since videos/short form stuff seems to do much better on a lot of platforms. But I don't think it makes you look robotic, I empathize heavily as I'm very much the same

Inconvenience? I just had to dig seven pages deep to find the unsubscribe for one of the four TV subscriptions I need, I'm measured & optimized against in my supermarket, lamps, music, games, and travel. Every service I love gets enshittified to buy billionaires yachts worth 100 times my house.

"The great hunt". Illustration piece I did for Paul Scott Canavan's mentorship. It represents an haunt scene, the hunter is mounting a big white tiger with piercing white eyes -sign that she's blind- which is roaring as she's sprinting through the action. The hunter has heavy clothing on, inspired by the Mongolian and Slavic clothing. He has long black hair moved by the wind, and he's holding a sword in his hand, ready to defend his wood. The environment is a snowy wood, old trees and branches all around the scene, as the white snow covers them. The sun is setting, and the overall atmosphere looks pinkish, lightened by the lights of the time of the day. Pink, yellow and blue shading on the sky, as the clouds move, forming interesting shapes.

Illustration I made for S.A. Harian's book Briardark. As I dabble more into different creative stuff, I'm seeing creators using genAI for illustrating their work, pics, etc. It's really a shame and I just think it's pretty hypocritical to use the slop because you think it's ok since it doesn't affect you or your field. All type of art is affected by AI
