Germany has been quicker in the past, I expect acceleration for obvious reasons, anecdotical evidence included (people asking me which BEV to buy). Btw, just crossed the 100.000 km mark after 6 yrs, without notable battery degradation.

Ok it's not quite that simple, but it got me thinking that there must be a way of visualising the complexity of the electricity transmission grid in Great Britain.
This is my first attempt…
Kernfusion hat aktuell einen Technology Readiness Level (TRL) von 2-3 (von 9). TRL 9 klappt weder in 6 noch in 20 Jahren.
Zum Vergleich: Windkraft war schon im letzten Jahrtausend kommerziell verfügbar (also jenseits TRL 9), binnen 30 Jahren wurde dann die Wirtschaftlichkeit massiv erhöht.
Ggf. noch mit wenig Wind - damit weniger Konvektion
Die Standardlastprofile Gas sind genauso gekrümmt wie hier in blau dargestellt (Sigmoid-Funktion, mittlerweile mit überlagertem linearen Anteil), das ist also kein Sondereffekt der Wärmepumpe. Warum hätte man eine Zunahme der Steigung erwarten sollen?
