I know, thank you. I too love it. Don't mind the grunge, it's the ICE.

A year ago Alberta’s separatists were riding high. Now the western province’s “Wexiteers” are feeling downbeat. Register for free to read the story, and understand why
long to. But we'd have to go there... I'm too scared.
"although she probably wielded the brush in many of the late, great works attributed to him, full recognition still eludes her."
Terrific piece from @kmgovier 👇

I do not agree with the government drawing their own electoral boundary map. I expect the Alberta government to accept the boundary changes as defined by Alberta's independent Boundaries Commission.

I think she loved Banff and certainly put her museum background to great purpose there. The Oi/Morse connection in new novel "Red Fuji and The Boston Boys" ( so named in Japanese, no English publisher yet)
There's a connection to Katsushika Oi. Catharine Robb Whyte's grandfather was Edward S Morse, Boston scientist who taught in Meiji Tokyo. He owned some Oi works, now lost. Catharine met Peter Whyte at art school and went with him to Banff where she endowed The Whyte Museum of the Cdn Rockies.
Interesting story, she is.
Yay!! My portrait of Katsushika Oi has appeared in Engelsberg Ideas. engelsbergideas.com/portraits/ka... #womensart #japaneseart #historicalfiction #theghostbrush #theprintmakersdaughter @marygregory.bsky.social
