Re-Watching Near Dark (1987)!

It's amazing how easy it is for vampires to prey on the young. Just hang out at bars, clubs, gas stations, and soon someone will show up just begging to be turned...or devoured. You would think that they would give you the choice at least...vampires can be quite rude!

We cycled back to just a normal setup for the frame. I'll save the ideas from the other setups for later probably~

Three small woven samples on a tapestry loom, in shades of white, blue and pink, each separated by a dark line of woven wool. The samples are experiments in shape, colour and texture. Another sample has been started above the first three, and four wooden tapestry bobbins with brass tips are suspended in the warp above the tapestry work.

Starting the next sample. In the last, I used handspun Border Leicester as the base for the white, knowing it wouldn’t pack down as much as the ATW yarns. However, I was also playing with texture, and the bulkier handspun yarn shows it more clearly. Next is back to handspun mothers with ATW tresses.

That is soo cool! The best craft for relaxing but I am biased. Remember that as you use your needle your fingers twist the needle which can twist or untwist your floss. Occasionally letting the needle hang, so the floss will untwist to it's starting place helps with consistency.
