Lee Cronin’s #TheMummy has all the scares and gore you could ask for after Evil Dead Rise, but it falls short with its story. It has many scenes that don’t make any sense logically. It also has barely anything to do with its title and is just a worse Evil Dead film with a Mummy skin on it.

But while the movie was effective at keeping me on the edge of my seat, I wasn't fully won over by the story. Some plotlines just feel undercooked and I really felt that with the film's ending. Overall though, if you're a horror fan I would definitely recommend checking it out!
#Undertone is one of the creepiest movies that I have seen in years! Ian Tuason's direction does a LOT with the film's low budget. The way he frames shots with so much space around characters made me so anxious, and the excellent sound design elevated that feeling as well.
I also liked his character’s story & it was told in a cool way. The action is solid but nothing groundbreaking. Where this movie falls short is its lack of originality. You can point out films where you’ve seen it done better. Overall it’s just a decent one time watch for me!
Finally got around to watching #WarMachine and I thought it was yet another decent Netflix dad movie. Honestly if Netflix wants to keep making these, I’m completely okay with that. Alan Ritchson proves once again that he’s the closest thing we have to an 80s action hero in 2026.

But after the first act the film starts to lose steam & takes a nosedive into messiness. Plot lines feel thrown together, characters will just disappear from the movie, & they all act like caricatures. Scream 7 also has the worst Ghostface reveal by a landslide! Just stream it.
#Scream7 might be the weakest film in the franchise! It starts off with a great opening that was both funny & effective. The kills were also some of the best & most creative in the series. I also enjoyed seeing Sidney as a Mom & her dynamic with her daughter was a highlight.
Is Sam Raimi’s newest horror film #SendHelp worth watching in theaters, streaming it, or skipping it entirely? Find out in my spoiler-free review of the movie. Also if you’ve seen it already, let me know what you thought of it in the comments! 👇🏻

#SendHelp was SO MUCH FUN! Rachel McAdams gives an awesome performance & Dylan O’Brien matches her energy. There are so many laugh out loud moments but they never undercut the horror. Sam Raimi’s directing is in top form. Very confident it will be in my top 10 by the end of 2026!
Most of my issues really come down to how generic and forgettable the story is. Because if the cast wasn’t as stacked as it is, this movie would’ve definitely gotten a lower rating from me. But overall, if you’re looking for a Dad movie to kick back and watch this week, The Rip is the movie for you!
#TheRip is a solid Netflix crime thriller that kept me entertained throughout! Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have effortless chemistry, and it’s just fun to see them acting together again. The twists in this script are mostly predictable, but are pretty fun to watch unfold because of the great cast.
This film also has some of the most unsettling and gory scenes that I’ve watched in a while. Which made the Jimmies way more scary than they were at the end of 28 Years. Overall, Bone Temple worked a lot better for me than 28 Years did. So I would highly recommend checking it out soon!
I also enjoyed how this movie handled its religious and cult themes. The infected action is scarce, but that’s not really a negative for me because of the great character drama and writing. Also Nia DaCosta’s direction was much more on my wavelength than Danny Boyle’s was in 28 Years.
I loved #28YearsLaterTheBoneTemple! Which shocked me because the first 28 Years was disappointing for me. Ralph Fiennes gives a fantastic performance as Dr. Ian Kelson. Jack O’Connell is chilling as Sir Jimmy. Alex Garland’s script is more focused this time around, and the tone was more consistent.

Check out my ★★★★ review of #Primate on Letterboxd! 👇🏻

My only complaints are that some of the characters and their dialogue were pretty insufferable. Also I wish we got to know the characters that I liked a little more before the chaos started. Overall though, Primate is definitely getting added to my animal attack movie rotation!
#Primate was a VERY solid horror movie start off my 2026 with! The kills were brutal and utilized a lot of practical effects. The score was surprisingly great & it elevated so many scenes. Ben is absolutely creepy in most of his scenes and the actor playing him did a great job.

Also that “Avengers Assemble” moment at the end was laughable. Overall though, if you’re not a fan of the games then I wouldn’t check FNAF 2 out. But I think fans are gonna really enjoy the movie and I’m happy for them if that’s the case. This film was just not for me AT ALL!
I will give the film some credit and say that the score was great, the marionette sequences were pretty creepy, and the animatronics looked fantastic. But it felt like the creative team was more concerned with making an Easter egg hunt for fans rather than writing a good story.
The #fnaf2movie was a ROUGH watch for me! I don’t really know the lore of this franchise so I went in with a very casual viewpoint. Especially after thinking the first one was just okay. But the story in this was just bizarre because every single idea in the script was half baked.

Overall though, I would recommend checking out Keeper for yourself to see where you land on it. Because some people are absolutely loving it! I just was not one of those people unfortunately.
But that’s honestly where my positives end with Keeper. Because this film DRAGS through its first 2 acts. But when it finally picked up the pace my score went up dramatically. The transitions were also pretty distracting at times and they kept taking me out of the movie.
#Keeper was just an okay horror film! Osgood Perkins just hasn’t made a movie that I love yet & I’m trying to root for him. Because he has a great eye for visuals especially in this film. Tatiana Maslany gives a terror filled leading performance & there’s some horrifying imagery.
