What makes it worse is that I get suspicious/paranoid of LMS metrics that suddenly shoot up once a pdf is tagged. Could an LMS then feed these into some sort of LLM with sorting done beforehand? If anybody knows more about this I'm all ears!

Dry PowerPoint lectures that somebody downloaded (or had chatgpt generatex) are easily compliant, but any amount of attempt at trying to engage in class on the board is now feeling like a penalization.

I'm starting to pull all of my hair out on the idea that none of my course notes are Title II compliant. My students don't understand why I can't post my tablet notes anymore.

While I get how this is supposed to help with accessibility (which I support!) it is a nightmare in actual implementation.

1/ Today, ProPublica is running a piece I've been working on for a bit. It's about what happened with a devastating wave of bird flu earlier this year, as egg prices hit record highs.

And it's a story that illuminates the ways the U.S. is failing to control what could become the next pandemic. 🧡
