I have forever said to never rely on any platform - own your words. Let your personal website be your hub. Maybe I should practice what I’ve preached in the past! Thanks for this.

True true. Perhaps I should give the brain space to speak up again and not just do the work for others. I have soooo many thoughts churning in here.
I miss throwing the tiny thoughts that are in my head onto a platform for the hell of it. And my brain holds a lot of tiny thoughts. But the combination of supporting other orgs w/their messages and my lack of community (I’m to blame for that) on short form platforms like this do not motivate me 🤷♀️ 😭
Yes. That was my daughter singing N.Y.C. in the streets of DC tonight.
RCUSA is outraged by the White House’s Presidential Determination on refugee admissions for Fiscal Year 2026, which sets the refugee admissions goal at a devastatingly low 7,500 – the lowest ever set in the 45-year history of the USRAP

The Trump administration is dismantling the US Refugee Admissions Program and lobbying other countries to weaken protections for at-risk refugees and asylum seekers - threatening fundamental global protection principles. My commentary for @global-affairs.bsky.social tinyurl.com/bdzuzayv
The Trump administration has broken faith with the American people, who have welcomed refugees into their communities for decades - and refugees who have been waiting in line for years. A record-low refugee ceiling aligns with this admin’s consistently bad-faith approach to immigrant/refugee issues.
RCUSA ED @jslocum.bsky.social explains that while the US govt PULLS BACK on refugee resettlement, we must PUSH BACK by urging our elected officials to defend and welcome refugees. ACT TODAY by joining our federal & state/local action alerts:

Hi, again, BlueSky. As the country’s policies have crumbled, I’ve been much more focused on client channels than my own. What should I catch up on in this space? Any new amazing accounts to follow or tools to use?
It looks like there is a sitewide @wpengine.com failure. Huge bummer for a client that opened registration for a big conference.

🚨URGENT—Despite the Supreme Court declaring that it would be illegal to deport people under the Alien Enemies Act without giving them a meaningful chance to seek judicial review, the Trump admin is reportedly about to send a group of Venezuelans detained in Texas to El Salvador in a matter of hours!
I’m stunned to see he is alive. Time to bring Abrego Garcia home.

Next week is a congressional recess, time for Senators and Representatives to go home and meet with constituents. So why is MO’s Josh Hawley going to Florida for an event? www.eventbrite.com/e/socrates-i...

Happy 5th anniversary to my “WE ARE THE SOURCE” tweet when the Antlers tried to spoof the Mizzou Twitter account as COVID rumors swirled.
It was an exhausting time.
I went to bed early Saturday night in preparation for the time change. I ended up sleeping in - I got a ton of sleep. So, could that be why I woke up an hour early today? Or was it just my overactive brain?

Eeeeek. I might just get the booster since I am an old with no time to add a dr’s appointment to my schedule.

I found a cathartic release by screaming with Phoebe Bridgers’ I Know The End in the car. I highly recommend it.
I saw Anora twice because Mikey Madison’s performance was so incredible. I love seeing independent filmmaking thrive at such a scale.
