Another US citizen, an Intensive Care Nurse, holding a phone?
Who next? A grandma with a Zimmer frame?
Words fail, don't they.
Much prayer.
Worth remembering as this unfolds that it was disabled people and people from ethnic minority backgrounds who disproportionately died. Tens of thousands needlessly lost their lives, many who died alone or with just an iPad. Thousands more were left with life changing Long Covid. A true scandal.

Scary times
The truth is that this misinformation costs lives, causes unnecessary suffering.
Along came vaccines no thanks to Wakefield. Then the obsession with curing autism has meant that from using bleach to heavy metal poisoning has been reported. Now for some reason we are reporting paracetamol as the cause. This will now be delivered as truth.
The spread of misinformation hits the headlines again. The media and those behind the messages overtime have consistently presented autism in a damaging, stereotypical way that perpetuates harmful inaccuracies. We have had over the years; mothers getting the blame for being too cold.
Sky News says police are "overwhelmed by the numbers". Met coped perfectly well with 2x as many at the pro-Gaza rally, 5x as many at the anti-Brexit march, and 15x as many at London Pride.
They're not overwhelmed by the numbers. They're overwhelmed by the ratio of violent thugs in those numbers.

That is exciting
When injustice becomes law resistance becomes duty. I’ll raise a glass to hope. For a better world for my sisters and our daughters.
However, I will reflect today. A world that still doesn’t give women reproductive autonomy, patriarchal politics that legislate our bodies, the percentage of male violence that remains endemic. Women who live in war are disproportionately vulnerable. I could go on.
It is international women’s day. A day that is for withdrawing labour, resistance and empowerment. To all the phenomenal women I know. Thank you for being an incredible presence in my life. Your strength and power is immense.
So that they know how to cope when life throws the curve balls. What I have noticed by focusing on wellbeing the confidence in communicating needs/how they are feeling has been amazing. It is organic and seeing them advocate for themselves is amazing. #Autism #Wellbeing #ASN #School #lifelong
