Text that says: "Located between forest and ocean in Port Union, Newfoundland, Wild Cove Pottery makes a variety of functional and sculptural ceramics.

Studio Assistant responsibilities include making, glazing, and firing pottery, as well as customer service and studio maintenance. Applicants must be outgoing and able to work independently. Retail experience and knowledge of the craft/art/tourism world will be considered an asset.

The rate of pay for this position is $18/hr, 35hrs/week, for 8+ weeks. Other benefits will include access to a fully equipped ceramics studio, mentoring, and participation in studio firings.

If you are applying from outside the region please be advised that housing can be difficult to find. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss living arrangements.

This position is contingent on funding from Canada Summer Jobs so applicants  must be 18-30 years of age and legally allowed to work in Canada.
