Been staying in my parents flat where they only have non stick pans. Alright they both have diseases associated with PFOA consumption, but God it was nice to have an egg that hadn't been massacred in a stone clad frying pan π π³

Photo shows a dragonfly in the sun with a green background. She has a delightfully plump body with yellow flashes at the edges and a small black spot on each of her 4 wings.
Broad bodied chaser.
Bet she's not thrilled about being called that, but isn't she gorgeous?

I'm a qualified day skipper but these days can barely skipper a blow-up canoe on the local etang. My beans are always tied up with right proper bowline knots though. π
The type of local green politics that makes me despair. They campaigned against the King's Lynn incinerator years back. An awesome bit of combined heat and power technology next to a huge paper mill. The project collapsed and the waste was shipped down the A140 to the Suffolk incinerator instead. π
Ooh nice to see some positive press for this tree. I love it. It grows on waysides in France and is a stunning flowery early summer contributor. But all the tree people be like "INVASIVE THUG - DESTROY".

I have a UK hire car atm that's the same.
Poor crews π
Because oil tankers are famously easy to turn around.
Ah there you all are. I was worried about you. π
Photo shows a swallowtail butterfly, yellow and black with a band of stunning blue at the bottom. Taken at Le Moulin de Pensol.
I am perfection. π

I'm in South West France but had to post this because LOOK AT IT, and also it's called spring squill, which is an excellent name. Also it's now Monday, but nevertheless #wildflowerhour @wildflowerhour.bsky.social
We thought we had found an "agreeable caterpillar hunter" the other day. But sadly it turned out to be something else. π
Photos almost certainly shows an early purple orchid surrounded by stitchwort at Le Moulin de Pensol.
Early purple orchid. Probably. Almost definitely. Orchids are hard!
South west France.

Photo shows garden pond at Le Moulin de Pensol surrounded by rocks and king cup. One of the rocks has a cute gnome on it with a fishing rod.
My husband bought me a gnome for my new pond for our wedding anniversary. And it might be my very favourite thing ever.

Photo shows a brilliant blue sky at Le Moulin de Pensol with one tiny fluffy white cloud.
Typical. It's clouding over. π

Photo shows the gite building at Le Moulin de Pensol across the River Bandiat.
I too am already one electrician meeting down and have also dealt with a horse and donkey breakout. Apparently our arguments about saving the nice flowery fields " for the butterflies "were not cutting any ice.
Just one more gite to finish for today then another (big one) for tomorrow, then the final one for next week. Probably shouldn't have gone to easter drinks at a neighbours yesterday.
Photo shows the living room of Le Moulin de Pensol, a former water mill with beams on the ceiling and stone walls and warm colours, bookshelves and a wood burner.
Finished Le Moulin gite. Guests arrive in...checks watch... 4 hours. Never knowingly over-prepared π¬.
Photo shows large dog lying happily in a large cardboard box, nose peeping out.
Just got the most brilliantly huge cardboard box. Couldn't wait 3 years for the grandchild to be old enough to play in it, so let the dog have a go.
I just asked Gemini if we could see the Orion craft come over Northern Europe in orbit and it said "no you can't see the launch because Florida is a long way from France" and I'm not sure i care for its tone.
BBC is disappointing too. I wanted Dara O'brien, Brian Cox and some science!
Like a reverse porno.
