Since 2020, our furnace has not combusted any fossil fuels. Just using the air flow feature to help filter the air with MERV13 filters, we keep 3 high CADR air cleaners running too. Covid has never spread in our home! 100% sure of that!

#Aranet PM, CO₂, radon monitored. Windows cracked = radon low. Closed = yikes 😬. Radon pump on hand, not installed. No rush. Heating bill? $75/yr (USDA wood permit). EPA-certified woodstove, dead Uinta NF trees put to use instead of rotting into CH₄ + CO₂.

Why let bad air build up in the first place? It should be a steady constant cleaning and filtering. It is not like trying to determine when your soapy kitchen sink dishwater needs changed. We keep our windows cracked open 2 cm and run air cleaners all day. HVAC is not on auto but runs continiously

Ventilation in my lab yesterday. Maintained 22.9 #ACH 2nd hour. First hour 9.88 ACH (air changes per hour).
24 students + 1 instructor in a 450 m³ room.
Pre-occupancy CO₂: 538 ppm
First hour average peak: 615 ppm
Second hour: 585 ppm

This was taken on 17 May 2008. My little girl is gone...now an adult, facing life with new challenges. Like the hour hand on a clock, you cannot see it move, but looking back, you realize it never stood still.
