Be interested to hear what you think of it!

I didn't find it a particularly easy watch to be honest but visually it's impressive! One of those films I felt was good but I don't really feel the need to watch again. (Sorry if this insight isn't particularly helpful)

Happy birthday Emma! I was 40 in lockdown and never really like big parties so was glad to mark it in a low-key way (Chinese meal then to the cinema for Godfather part II). Not that it needs to be lockdown for you to do what you want on your birthday. Have a great day ๐Ÿฅณ and feel better soon!

Ha I liked it! Went in pretty cold: only knew it was about wedding prep going wrong, and not how dark/stressful it'd get. Don't always enjoy anxiety-inducing stuff like that but it was good. I see you're less of a fan but I liked Alana! Also got big flat envy - want those floor to ceiling bookcases!

Had the day off yesterday and it was sunny so I went for a walk at Formby. Didn't see any red squirrels unfortunately but I've not been to a proper beach for ages so it was nice.

I don't. But then I do count "A" and "An", so I don't know if this is an inconsistency that I need to address?? Hmmm.

A โ˜…โ˜…ยฝ review of Risky Business (1983) I didn't click with this at all somehow - great soundtrack though.

Watched Risky Business for the first time. I'm probably the problem, I usually am, but it didn't do much for me to be honest! #filmsky ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽฌ

Seeing The Straight Story again yesterday, this time on the big screen, was a real treat. Such a fantastic film. I'd not been to the cinema for about a month, and I nearly didn't go this weekend either, what with bus replacement services on my tram line, but I'm glad I did. #filmsky ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ

Nearly messaged a Liverpool supporting pal to say, I hope you don't mind but I'd really like Alonso.

Got April Fooled for a good ten minutes (by someone in Australia, where it's 1st April) into thinking Guardiola had said he's leaving City.

I got chicken wings last night. Had slight regret about it afterwards if it's any consolation ha. I can't be bothered getting delivery these days either because they struggle to find my flat without quite specific instructions that they don't always follow. I hope the pasta was nice! ๐Ÿ

Half star reviews of my Letterboxd top 4.

Dog Day Afternoon: fair enough. Sweet Smell of Success: apology not accepted. No Country For Old Men: again, fair enough. In the Mood for Love: I do like noodles, it's true.

Watched The Fifth Element. Wanted to enjoy it as much as I probably did when I last saw it, at the cinema in 1997, but I struggled to get through it. I can see its appeal but I found it a bit incoherent. And weirdly, despite Leeloo being key to the plot, she is kind of ignored! Oh well. #filmsky ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ

Best 2025 first time watches A list of 23 films compiled on Letterboxd, including The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964), Girlfriends (1978), Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (1999), Where Is the Friend's House? (1987) and Babette's ...

No #LastFourWatched from me this week. I haven't watched a single film since the last one! But with it having been the Oscars, I made my lists of my faves of the last twelve months. One list of my favourite new releases (boxd.it/Pv2pE) and another of first time watches (boxd.it/Pz2zW). #filmsky ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ๐ŸŽฌ

Didn't do my #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched because I was busy with birthday stuff and didn't watch much, but I'm back in business now and they're all fours. Man on the Run (2025), The Lady Vanished (1938), Hard Boiled (1992), and I Swear (2025). @letterboxd.social #filmsky ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ“ฝ๏ธ
