Last weekend I visited the HI-SCORE interactive video game museum in Hanover. It was great!
Tried out a bunch of arcade machines. Rhythm games aren’t really my thing, but watching other people play them is oddly fun.

Hey, thanks for your kind feedback! Yes, I actually thought about something similar a few years ago. I liked the idea of an illustrated text adventure, but didn’t pursue it further since I’m not really into those kinds of games myself. I’m more into mindless jumping and shooting! ;)

Somehow, the whole knight-on-a-hobby-horse setup still wasn’t silly enough for me. So I added an apple on top – which you can have a gnome shoot off your head, Wilhelm Tell style.
Oh, and you can now stumble awkwardly too.

Thanks so much for your kind words, Kyle! :)

I’ve started a devlog on itch.io. In the first post, I talk a bit about what got me back into game development, the goals I’ve set for myself, and the tools I’ve chosen to (hopefully) achieve them …

I’ve started working on the in-game menu. It feels like the game is almost finished!
Sure, there are still tons of things to polish, a few upgrades and visuals to create, and sound effects are still missing, and … okay, never mind - it’s going to take a bit longer!

I've been working on how the A and B buttons will work in Melkhior's Tower. It's been a headache! Read more at bitglint.itch.io/melkhiors-to...

Lately, I’ve been adding a lot of upgrades to the game. Today I implemented a super useful “Coin Magnet.” With this upgrade, you won’t leave anything behind!
I’m almost done with all the upgrades. Next up: the menu!

Surreal landscape made up of many diagonal lines. The sun is setting along with a few other visible planets. There are ruins that appear to be designed to align with astrological objects.

Back on the Atari 2600, Activision games were always my favorites. A lot of them had that beautiful sunset gradient on the horizon.
Now my game does too! :)
But to enjoy the sunset, you’ll have to make it to the finish.

Hey David, no plans for more levels right now. The main focus is upgrades that help you reach higher scores. I might add an online leaderboard too … if I don’t lose my mind implementing it. ;)
Added a title screen for the next playtest phase and gave the end bonus a visual polish. Things are moving along …
Feeling optimistic about a release before summer! :)

In addition to the new upgrades, there’s now a flexible in-game message system. Pick or lose an upgrade, earn a bonus, reach a new stage - you’ll know exactly what’s happening!

I’ve added a new upgrade: “Rabbit Limbo”. If you roll under the rabbit instead of jumping over it, you now get 2000 points instead of a measly 200. Don’t say I’m not generous!

Uh, sorry … I’m lost. This video is way too complicated! ;)
Sorry, I’m not entirely sure what you’re referring to, but you can finish the game in under five minutes. A 12-hour boost would be slightly overkill! ;)
Just published the first demo of my game!
It’s a 1 bit autobattler roguelike in which you dismember and graft your characters to build your strategy.
I would love to have feedbacks on this, you can try the demo here : lionelmainge.itch.io/mind-vessel-...
