CAIR-Philadelphia today condemned racist, neo-Nazi and antisemitic graffiti spray-painted on Roxborough High School on Saturday night. “Acts of hate like this are meant to intimidate and divide, but they ultimately strengthen our resolve to stand together against bigotry,” said CAIR-Philadelphia Executive Director Ahmet Tekelioglu. “Racist, antisemitic and neo-Nazi vandalism has no place in our schools or our city, and it must be confronted swiftly and unequivocally by community leaders and law enforcement authorities.” Tekelioglu called on local officials to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure accountability, while also investing in education and community-based efforts to prevent hate crimes. He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, anti-Muslim hate, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.
