Marsh Marigold is in the centre of the picture. It has many bright yellow, six petaled flowers rising above their dark green leaves. It is growing on the edge of a pond with the surface of the pond water behind and on either are brown dried out stems of other plants left over from winter.

Strawberry Fair takes place again in Cambridge UK this year. Always a favourite event and I often sketched there and took photos. It hasn't got the hippy vibes nowadays but I'm glad it's carrying on. Here are some of my pen drawings from one of the fairs a few years ago. www.strawberry-fair.org.uk
