Dear @philipthomas.bsky.social
This photograph came up today on my 'Facebook Memories' of one of your unforgettable, inspirational, perspective-changing lectures in your Experimental Music module where I was your student 13ish years ago.
I'm sure you don't remember me, but I'll never forget you.

It is great to hear that Anthology is still talking in serious terms about climate change.
But I wonder for how long given the actions and attitudes of the current US Government. Will it begin to exert pressure on big tech, ala 'DOGE' and EDI?
For the sake of humanity, I hope not. #DurBBU

It is time for Government to step in with actions, not just words, to make HE sustainable.

A6.
We already do. We exist, intersect & collaborate and have been doing so before there was a discernable 'third space'.
The challenge is how do we recognise these disciplines in a way which allows them to be defined by themselves, rather than recognised the 'spaces' they sit between
#lthechat
But this umbrella is still a deficit model. How do we move the discourse forward in more positive way?
Exactly. I see that where I work. People doing the same job, different contacts.
A5.
In a third space role, how do you describe your job when asked at parties?
Do you have to reduce it to a caricature or lean into one of the poles you are caught between?
This is fundamentally the issue. How do we convey 'what we do' when it doesn't exist in the lexicon?
